One of the major benefits of designing made to measure bespoke windows and doors is you can choose exactly what you want, shape, size, finish, hardware, glass and much more.

The perfect fit is where Brookeswood comes to the rescue, with over 100 years combined expert design & installation experience we partner with architects, planners, heritage and conservation offices and end users alike ensuring we work in partnership with you every step of the way.

We’ve completed may projects with unusual requests from complex and intricate shapes, quirky colours and designs all with their own personal touch from our customers initial ideas to final delivery and fit of a perfect solution, consider the following:

Always check before you even start looking at the windows and doors whether you live in a conservation / heritage area or live in a listed building, you will need to check with your local council as to what criteria you need to follow including the type and style of windows and doors that must be used.

Make sure you are working with a supplier who has completed many successful design and installation projects, ask to see case studies, ask if you can visit some completed projects (check that the customer is okay with you viewing).

Not only must a bespoke window and door fit perfectly, you must have the opportunity to make it totally unique to you and be aesthetically pleasing to your property and the surrounding area, bespoke allows you to do exactly that, allowing you to upgrade your specification as you like!

The Brookeswood team are here to help and support you through every bit of your project, whether you are considering an upgrade to tilt options which are particularly practical for easy cleaning and maintenance or to select an assisted spiral balance sash window, making it easier to open and close a real iconic design.

Designing your own windows and doors is a great for kerb appeal and making them individual to you and your home, take a look at our further recommendations:

Ensure that you are getting the best energy efficiency performance from your new windows and doors, our three top tips are:

1.       Double glazing will make a big difference, however for the peak performance, upgrading to triple glazed products will give you the highest energy rating, reducing utility bills.

2.       If you’re looking to minimise noise triple glazing is essential, however the ultimate to minimise noise reduction is acoustic glass always ask your supplier to give examples of how this has worked on other projects.

3.       Security is such an important consideration too, ask your supplier about different types of handles and locks many have extra added security features.
