Our Rural workshops are based in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the Peak District. All our products are hand made here by a team of craftsmen, using a combination of technical woodworking machinery and time-honoured traditional methods.
We do not work as a production line as we believe this prioritises efficiency at the expense of quality, versatility, and attention to detail.
We use only the finest selected timber, chosen for stability and durability. Following delivery from our suppliers, timber is allocated to a job. Each job has its own unique paperwork generated by our specialist quoting software. This software produces initial quotes, order confirmation documents and all the information required to purchase the components for each individual job. The software also produces cutting lists from which the timber is cut to the required lengths, profiling information for the section and the joints, and all the details required for assembly. From assembly the products are passed through to the spray shop where the paint finish is applied. Once the paint finish is dry the products move on to the finishing department where the glass, draft seal, handles, hinges, and other finishing touches are added, and everything is given a final quality check.
